Father Ignatius Huan

“It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” Gal 2:20

What our readers say

The Mass: We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe will surely benefit those who do not know the Mass but are eager to learn.

Even for those who already know the Mass, they would learn something more than what they already know.
Bishop Emeritus Paul Tan Chee Ing,
SJ, of Melaka-Johor,
He led them… walked with them… opened them to understanding… stayed with them… and broke bread with them at Youth Encounter camps, Parish Renewal Experience programmes, retreats and many Eucharists. In The Mass: We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe, Father Ignatius Huan opens a way for a deeper walk through the Mass which began then as the ‘Mass Explained’.

May you meet the Lord who is there at every Eucharist and be moved to exclaim, ‘It is the Lord!’

Together Building His Kingdom,
Bishop Bernard Paul of Melaka-Johor
I received The Mass: We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe and have started to read it. I am an Extraordinary Communion Minister (ECM) and have strongly recommended the book to all my fellow ECMs.

Besides ECMs, I would urge all Catholics to read and study from the book. It contains a wealth of Liturgical information for all Catholics. It enriches the purpose and spirituality of the Mass. Strongly recommended.

I serve as a facilitator at St Ignatius Church Scripture Study ministry (Petaling Jaya) and I lead a neighbourhood Bible study group (Bangsar). The Mass: We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe is a must-have and a must-read for all Catholics! Father Ignatius Huan has left out nothing with his explicit explanation to every minute detail to unravel the numerous complexities for the lay parishioner.

It would be difficult to find another book on this same subject with such a generous offering of photographs and colourful illustrations to make our understanding of the Mass that much simpler! Celebrating the Mass will never be the same!

The Mass: We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe is worth the wait. I was very impressed when the book arrived. It is simple to read and to serve as reflection - both on a personal or group basis.

The book comes in good quality paper and very good colour print. There are useful guide aids. I will introduce it to my friends. God bless you, Father Huan and all who are behind this book ministry.

I used to think Mass is boring. Due to my lack of understanding, I went to church just to fulfill an obligation. After reading Father Ignatius Huan’s recently published book on the Mass, I have discovered the whys and hows of the Catholic Mass. As a cradle Catholic, I now have a deeper understanding of the Mass. I am able to stay focused during Mass and I now worship and celebrate the Mass with great joy. I used to think the Mass ended when I leave the church. But I was wrong. The book taught me a valuable lesson of living the Mass of life.

The Mass: We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe is easy to read and to understand. Packed with infographics and printed in full colour makes it highly engaging. I love the references made to the Cathecism of the Catholic Church, General Instruction on the Roman Missal and Scripture. It helps me when I am facilitating a session in my ministry. A must read for everyone. It is not only a book but a guide to living our life and faith with ‘new eyes’ and ‘new hearts’.
